Yes, AI has changed SEO forever (and will continue to do so), but it’s not going to kill it. We just need to adapt. How? By prioritizing “deep content” about topics that can’t be answered quickly or easily.
Here are three reasons why I think this is the future of SEO.
Deep content answers questions AI can’t answer
If you ask ChatGPT how to reinstall macOS, you can easily follow its instructions to get the job done. It clearly explains what you need to do and how to do it.
This is the kind of “shallow” topic that AI is coming for.
Once Google rolls out SGE to the masses (which will probably happen soon), searchers won’t need to click for answers to these kinds of questions. They’ll be right there in the search results courtesy of AI. The robots will steal the traffic.
