A year of Russian war in Ukraine: What and how changed over this year
Today is a year since Russia launched its full-scale invasion.
It’s been the toughest, the most bitter, and the hardest year in the history of Modern Ukraine.
What was happening to us this year?
On the first day of the full-scale invasion, we all knew for sure we would fight for our freedom, our country, and our lives.
Last March, we were naive enough to think that the citizens of Russia did not support Putin, and we were naive enough to think that Russians would protest against Putin’s actions to stop all these murders in our country. But now we know that over 80% of Russians do support the actions of their President. Some of their singers and actors say, “Having (read “occupying” Ukraine’s South gives us the Azov sea all to ourselves. Isn’t it great?”. So basically, they confess they justify this war as long as it gives them new territories. And now they speak about occupying Odesa, so they have control over the Black Sea by themselves. Killing people for territories in the 21st century.
